Details regarding the review embargo for Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming action role-playing game, Control Resonant, have been revealed.
Fans of Remedy Entertainment will soon be able to find out what critics have to say about its latest title, Control Resonant. The upcoming action role-playing game is a direct sequel to 2019’s Control. This time, players will take control of Dylan Faden, a supernatural-powered “parautilitarian” who was introduced as a supporting character in the original game. Dylan’s journey will involve confronting an invasion of dangerous entities while trying to locate his estranged sister, Jesse Faden.
What Is the Review Embargo Date for Control Resonant?
According to Metacritic, the review embargo for Control Resonant is expected to be lifted “at the end of the week,” around 5 days ahead of the game’s release date on September 24, 2026.
Additionally, the pre-load for Control Resonant will be live for PlayStation 5 on September 20, 2026, for the Deluxe Edition and on September 22, 2026, for the Standard Edition, with a download size of 89.273 GB. The pre-load will come with the latest version i.e. 01.200.000, pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a copy, though an update may be rolled out closer to the game’s launch.
