EA has shared its first major update on EA Sports UFC 6 following the game’s Early Access period, detailing how the development team is responding to community feedback and outlining several changes planned for launch and beyond.
In a new development update, the studio thanked players for their feedback, highlighting discussions around Flow State visuals, online performance, gameplay balance, fighter appearances, and roster composition as key areas of focus. The team stated that it has been reviewing player comments, videos, social media discussions, and gameplay data to identify priorities moving forward.
One of the biggest concerns raised by players involves the game’s new Flow State system. While EA believes the mechanic adds meaningful gameplay depth by emphasizing each fighter’s strengths and fighting style, the studio acknowledged that many players want greater control over how the feature is presented visually. To address this, the team is developing an option that will allow players to disable Flow State’s visual and audio effects while keeping the underlying gameplay mechanics intact. A new HUD indicator will also be added to clearly show when Flow State is active. The update is currently targeted for July 2026.
Online stability remains another major focus. Since Early Access began, EA says it has already released three updates aimed at reducing crashes, improving matchmaking, and increasing overall stability. Additional updates focused on online performance are planned throughout the coming month as the team continues to monitor player reports and gameplay data.
The studio is also evaluating several gameplay balance concerns as competitive trends begin to emerge. Areas currently under review include stamina systems for both stand-up and ground combat, takedown mechanics, striking momentum, specific attack combinations, and certain hit reactions. EA said maintaining a competitive environment that rewards skill and varied playstyles remains a priority, with further tuning updates expected in future patches.
Community feedback regarding fighter appearances has also prompted further investigation. The development team confirmed it is reviewing examples shared across social media, Reddit, Discord, and the official EA forums to determine where improvements to fighter likenesses may be needed. Some issues may be technical in nature, while others will require additional review before potential adjustments are made.
On the roster front, EA acknowledged requests for fighters who appeared in previous UFC titles but are not currently included in UFC 6. While no returning names were announced, the publisher reiterated its intention to expand the roster with new fighter additions on a monthly basis.
Alongside its roadmap for future updates, EA highlighted several changes that have already been implemented based on feedback gathered during the game’s Closed Beta. These include a fix for the Tank Flow Boost perk, adjustments to the overperforming Tiger Perk, refinements to combo animations, improvements to soft and hard combo systems, and updates to defensive mechanics such as the Parry system.
The development team also confirmed that UFC 6’s faster-paced combo system remains intact, although specific attack chains have been adjusted to improve realism and reduce exploitable situations. Additional tweaks have been made to blocking, head movement, sway counters, and combo responsiveness to create a smoother competitive experience.
EA concluded by encouraging players to continue sharing feedback as development continues, emphasizing that UFC 6 will receive ongoing updates aimed at refining gameplay, expanding content, and improving the overall experience.
