Square Enix has released Update 1.5.0 for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, bringing several new gameplay features and quality-of-life improvements. The headline addition is New Game+, allowing players to begin a fresh adventure while carrying over select progress from a completed save file.
The update also introduces a Zodiac Compatibility display, additional gameplay settings, and expanded language options. These additions give players more control over their experience while making important combat information easier to access.

- Added a new “New Game+” option to the main menu.
- Allows players to start a new playthrough using certain progress carried over from a completed save file.
Zodiac Compatibility Function
- Added a Zodiac Compatibility display to character status screens.

- Provides explanations for how compatibility affects:
- Damage dealt
- Recovery effects
- Accuracy
- Added the following compatibility categories:
- Good Compatibility (125% effectiveness)

Maintain Auto-proceed
- Added a setting that keeps dialogue auto-proceed enabled when transitioning between scenes.
Ability Incantations Guaranteed
- Added an option that ensures ability incantation dialogue always plays.
- Exceptions apply to specific characters, jobs, or abilities.
Ability Cursor Memory
- Added a setting that remembers the previous cursor position within the mid-battle Ability menu.
Language Options
- Added separate language selection options for:
- Enhanced Text Language
- Classic Text Language
