Forza Horizon 4 Charts With Two Editions In Steam Top Sellers, Gains 25K Concurrent Users
Forza Horizon 4 was first released back in September 2018 and it finally launched on Steam this week. Despite this late launch, it is doing rather well.
Valve has an updated list of the top-selling games ranked by their revenue every week and Forza Horizon 4 has managed to secure not just one spot but two with a Standard and Ultimate Edition ranking in the top-selling games on Steam last week.
Here are the top sellers on Steam for the week ending March 14. The list is ranked by revenue.
- Valheim
- Forza Horizon 4 (Standard)
- Loop Hero
- Valve Index VR Kit
- Forza Horizon 4 (Ultimate)
- 鬼谷八荒(Tale of Immortal)
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Operation Broken Fang
- Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition
- Stronghold: Warlords
- Metro Exodus – Gold Edition
Valheim is being ranked for the sixth consecutive week and has sold more than 4 million copies so far. FH4 launched on March 9 and has been available on Steam for less than a week, yet it managed to secure two top spots on the best sellers based on revenue.
According to Steam Charts, the game hit a concurrent player count of more than 25K this weekend which is higher than some of the recent racing games like Dirt 5, which peaked at 1.2K users. It is also twice that of Gears 5 which had a peak of just under 10K users.
This is a massively successful launch for Microsoft by all counts and it should encourage them to release more of their games on Steam. Most of the Microsft games that have launched on Steam have been quite successful so far from Sea of Thieves to the Halo: Master Chief Collection.
