Forza Horizon 6 continues to build momentum following its launch, with the racing title now overtaking Call of Duty on Xbox’s Most Played Games chart.
The milestone was highlighted by Klobrille on social media, who noted that the last Xbox Game Studios title to achieve the feat was Halo Infinite. The chart movement marks a notable performance for Playground Games’ latest open-world racing release, particularly given the long-standing dominance of Call of Duty across Xbox platforms.
The strong player engagement follows several other positive indicators reported earlier this week. In the UK, Forza Horizon 6 reportedly outsold Nintendo’s Yoshi And The Mysterious Book in weekly physical sales despite Xbox first-party titles traditionally performing far stronger digitally than at retail.
The Game Business Editor-In-Chief Christopher Dring previously stated that the racing title debuted at #2 on the UK physical charts, behind LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and ahead of Nintendo’s latest first-party release. According to Dring, the sales difference between the two titles was roughly 300 copies.
Dring also pointed out that all physical sales were tied to the Xbox Series X/S version since the PC edition did not receive a boxed release. He added that Xbox first-party titles rarely place highly on physical charts, with Starfield being the last major release to break into the UK Top 5.
Microsoft has also already described the game as the biggest early access launch in franchise history. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma recently said that Forza Horizon 6 became “the most played Early Access in series history” shortly after release.
Forza Horizon 6 is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, while a PlayStation 5 release is planned for later this year.
