MLB The Show 23 is developed by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a baseball game that focuses on Major League Baseball (MLB). It is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Released on March 28, 2023, it marks the eighteenth installment in the MLB: The Show series. Jazz Chisholm Jr., a player for the Miami Marlins, is featured on the cover, while The Captain Edition pays homage to retired New York Yankees player Derek Jeter.
The game introduces a new mode titled Storylines: A New Game Experience, which delves into the history of the Negro Leagues. It features eight legendary players from the Negro Leagues, such as Jackie Robinson, Buck O’Neil, Satchel Paige, and Rube Foster.
