Games With Gold July 2022 Announced

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Live Games With Gold lineup for the month of July 2022. Here are the latest additions to your Xbox game library.

Despite being long eclipsed by Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox Live Games With Gold service is still active and going strong. Microsoft releases two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games each month. All of these games can be played on any of the current Xbox platforms because they are often backward compatible.

For July 2022, Games With Gold will offer the following lineup:

• Beasts of Maravilla Island ($9.99 ERP): Available July 1 to 31
• Relicta ($19.99 ERP): Available July 16 to August 15
• Thrillville: Off the Rails ($9.99 ERP): Available July 1 to 15
• Torchlight ($14.99 ERP): Available July 16 to 31

The lineup for next month doesn’t seem to offer much in the way of substantial value. That said, the games on offer are decent, covering a reasonably wide range of genres.

Torchlight is an Xbox 360 action role-playing dungeon crawler developed by Runic Games and published by Perfect World. The fantasy-themed game takes place in the made-up town of Torchlight and the vast caves and dungeons nearby, which intrepid adventurers explore to gather useful goods and fight hordes of monsters. If that doesn’t sound particularly exciting, the July 2022 lineup for Games With Gold also includes Relicta, a first-person physics-based puzzle game where you need to creatively combine magnetism and gravity to unravel the secrets of Chandra Base.

Also featured in the lineup for July 2022 is Beasts of Maravilla Island, an adventure game where you assume the role of a young wildlife photographer who traverses Maravilla Island to discover extraordinary creatures, learn more about them, and take their photographs. Meanwhile, Thrillville: Off the Rails is a 2007 theme park simulation game developed by Frontier Developments and published by LucasArts for the Xbox 360. It is the sequel to the 2006 game Thrillville.
