GTA V Expanded and Enhanced PS5 vs. PC Comparison Shows an Underwhelming Upgrade

by Salal Awan

GTA V Expanded and Enhanced was shown during the PlayStation Showcase and it has turned out to be one of the most disliked trailers for Rockstar Games.

The GTA V trailer that was shown during the PlayStation Showcase appears to have footage from the PS5 version with marketing blurbs that highlighted the new additions like “Improved Graphics” and so on. However, the actual difference in visuals is so minuscule that the trailer does a bad job of selling it.

In a comparison shared by YouTuber GTASeriesVideos, the PC version is compared against the footage seen from the PlayStation Showcase trailer, and while there is some difference, it is hard to spot and looks worse in some cases.

After the release of the trailer, Fans flocked to the dislike button on YouTube leading to a lot of dislikes not just for the official PlayStation channel but also the Rockstar Games channel, as reported by Novice Gamer. At the time of writing this article, the dislikes have reached more than 100K on both channels and the trailer has more than a million views.

Rockstar Games stock also took a beating and they are expected to have a shareholder meeting on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see if a shareholder will question them regarding the poor reception to the GTA V Expanded and Enhanced trailer.

In addition to announcing the delay to March 2022, Take-Two Interactive had listed in their financial report that they are working on remasters of existing games. They were later reported to be GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas.
