Halo Campaign Evolved Early Access Starts July 23

Halo Studios has outlined everything players need to know ahead of Halo: Campaign Evolved Early Access, including launch times, preload availability, PC system requirements and cross-platform features. Early Access begins on July 23 at 8:00 a.m. PDT for players who pre-ordered the Premium or Collector’s Edition, while the full launch follows on July 28.

Players who purchase the Premium Edition can begin playing up to 5 days before release. Halo Studios has also confirmed that pre-order bonuses, including the Foundry Armory Pack, will remain available through July 28.

Preloading starts on July 22 at 8:00 a.m. PDT for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and PlayStation 5 Premium and Collector’s Edition owners. Steam players with Early Access will be able to download the game when Early Access goes live on July 23, while the PlayStation 5 Standard Edition preload begins on July 26.

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches worldwide on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. PDT, when all editions become available across supported platforms. The game will also be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Halo Studios also confirmed that players will need a Microsoft account and Gamertag to access campaign progress, collectibles and cross-platform features. Steam and PlayStation 5 users will be prompted to link their platform accounts to a Microsoft account, while cross-platform co-op will allow players to invite friends using their Xbox Gamertags regardless of platform.

On PC, the minimum specifications include an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-10700K processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, AMD Radeon RX 6600 or Intel Arc A580 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, 8GB of VRAM and 100GB of SSD storage. Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 is required. Halo Studios has also published an optimisation guide covering graphics settings, upscaling, frame generation and other performance options.

The studio also confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved will support modding, although official modding tools and Steam Workshop integration will not be provided. Mods must remain non-commercial and comply with Microsoft’s content and usage rules.

Halo Studios described Halo: Campaign Evolved as a rebuilt version of the original campaign featuring new Operation: METEORITE missions, Campaign Remix, 42 collectible Skulls, split-screen co-op on consoles and 4-player cross-platform co-op.
