Hitman 3: How To Carry Over Progress

by Ali Haider

The release of Hitman 3 is mere hours away at this point, and fans all over the world are just waiting patiently to get their hands on the game. And if like me, you happen to have played either of the two previous games in the franchise, you’re probably wondering about what’s going to happen to all of the progress you’ve made in those games.

Well, fear not, because Hitman 3 allows players to import their data from both Hitman 1 and 2, ensuring that all of the time you have invested in those games is not lost.

It’s not the most complicated procedure in the world, but it is a bit more involved than you might think.

How To Carry Over Progress To Hitman 3

First of all, you’ll want to head on over to the official IO Interactive website and register for a profile there. Click on the button that says ‘IOI Account’ and input whatever information the website asks of you.

Now once you have registered and logged in with your account, you’ll be asked to choose the platform that you played either of the previous two games on to link your account. The choices available are:

  • Xbox One.
  • PlayStation 4.
  • Nintendo Switch.
  • Steam.
  • Epic Games.
  • Stadia.

Choose whichever of these options is relevant to you, but keep in mind that the Hitman games do not feature a cross-save system at the moment.

Progress is only carried forward within the same platform ecosystem, so if you’ve previously been playing on an Xbox One, you won’t be able to transfer your progress over to a PlayStation 5 or vice versa.

After you’ve linked your IOI Account, you’ll get the option to transfer your save to your current platform whenever you sign into Hitman 3 for the very first time.
