Hitman 3 PreLoad Is Up On Xbox Series X, Day One Patch Size Revealed
Hitman 3 preload is up on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X. It will be available to play on January 20. The game also has a substantial day one patch.
Hitman 3 is the latest game in the new reboot of Hitman that is being published by IO Interactive. Square Enix will handle the physical distribution of the game in Europe while IO will self-publish it on the digital storefronts for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Hitman 3 is available for preload now on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X. If you have pre-ordered the game, it has a file size of 61.76 GB as per reddit. This possibly includes a day one patch for the game as well. According to IO, the combined size of all three games in the trilogy is just 100 GB.

Keeping the file size of the game aside, there is a patch available on the PS4 as well. This patch is roughly 16 GB as per OrbisPatches and will update the game to version 1.01. According to the patch notes, IO has a website set up for further details, but if we head to the official page, we get an amusing list of changes.

We are currently aware of an issue where HITMAN 3 players are not yet able to play the game. This is caused by the calendar not yet displaying 20 January 2021. We are working towards a solution, which involves waiting until that date. We will share our progress before then, but we’re confident of steady progress.
Hitman 3 will be available on January 20, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. It is also releasing on the Nintendo Switch in the form of a Cloud version that can be streamed on the console.
