The job listing states that Round8 Studio is seeking “experts who will leverage generative AI technology to maximize the efficiency of the art production process and innovate the visual quality of games.” According to the description, the role is tied to Art Team 2, a department focused on improving technical production efficiency and building the technological foundation behind the studio’s projects.

As per the description, the company sees AI as a tool designed to work alongside artists rather than replace them entirely. The listing states that the studio wants people who can “combine the creativity of artists with the productivity of AI to build Round8 Studio’s unrivaled art pipeline together.”

Responsibilities for the role include using tools such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to create character and environment concept drafts, generating asset variations, and assisting with modeling through image-to-3D workflows. Candidates are also expected to help integrate AI systems into existing development pipelines in order to reduce production time. The listing also mentions LoRA and ControlNet training, post-processing methods such as in-painting and out-painting, and high-resolution upscaling workflows intended to bring AI-generated assets to “a level applicable to actual games.”

Preferred qualifications include “a high level of understanding of legal guidelines regarding AI ethics and copyright,” suggesting that the studio is aware of legal and ethical considerations surrounding AI-generated content. The listing further states that candidates should have “a high level of fundamental understanding of form, color, and composition before handling AI tools,” alongside expertise in prompt design and parameter control.
