The PC Open Beta for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works’ latest fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, leaves the PlayStation SDK installed even after uninstallation.
In a post on Reddit, user Pretty_Hornet_1469 has warned fellow PC players that the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Open Beta leaves behind PlayStation SDK files installed on the system even after the game has been uninstalled. They mentioned that the uninstallation process left behind two folders named “Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc” remaining in both the AppData\Local and ProgramData directories. In their case, the leftover files occupied nearly 2GB of storage space.
When asked by a fellow Reddit user whether the remaining files could simply be deleted manually or if a registry-level uninstaller would be required, Pretty_Hornet_1469 mentioned that they checked using Revo Uninstaller, but the leftover PlayStation SDK did not appear there. Instead, they had to manually track down the folders themselves.
Other users also reported similar experiences with the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Open Beta, with one player saying that a corrupted file associated with the game could not be deleted after uninstallation. Another mentioned that while the AppData folder varied in size, from as little as 31MB to 56MB, the larger folder stored in C:\ProgramData can exceed 1GB. Not every player was affected to the same extent, however. Based on user reports, the amount of leftover data appears to vary between systems, suggesting the size of the PlayStation SDK files may depend on usage during the Open Beta.
The aforementioned ProgramData directory is hidden in Windows by default, meaning many players may not even realize the files remain after uninstalling the game.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set for release on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. The game is not compatible on Steam Machine and Steam Deck due to its use of an unsupported version of Easy Anti-Cheat.
