Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Won’t Get Separate Physical Release, PS5 Upgrade Scenario Considered

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has an ultimate edition that comes with the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, but there is no separate release for it. Insomniac Games has now confirmed on Twitter that they are looking at various options and have thought about this scenario.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was confirmed to be one of the launch games for the PS5. There are two different editions of the game, one is the ultimate edition that comes with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. As per the details on the official website, this will require the users to redeem a digital code and then download it through the PlayStation Store.

Insomniac Games has now clarified the release of this remaster on its official Twitter account. It is confirmed that this is more than a simple remaster and provides a major overhaul of the whole game adding new suits, trophies, and more. Despite that, Insomniac Games has revealed that there are no plans to release a physical version of this remaster that doesn’t require to purchase Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.

If you have purchased Miles Morales on PS5 but missed out on the ultimate edition, there is currently no way to purchase the remaster of the original Marvel’s Spider-Man. Insomniac Games are also looking into this scenario where a user can upgrade the Miles Morales standard edition to the ultimate edition which comes with the remaster.

The launch edition of the game has a few pre-order bonuses that will be a part of the ultimate edition in the rest of the world. The launch edition is exclusive to the US and Canada only as per Insomniac. The digital pre-order for Miles Morales is also expected to go live in the coming days as per Insomniac. There are no plans to release a collector’s edition for Miles Morales because Insomniac realizes that people will be picking it up along with a new console.
