Modern Warfare Update 1.09 Patch Notes and File Size

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update 1.09 has launched today for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s what you need to know about this update.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s latest update was released today by Infinity Ward. In terms of new content and other changes, this doesn’t come close to any of the previous major updates. The combined file size for Modern Warfare update 1.09 is now a mammoth 50 GB. This applies to those who haven’t downloaded any of the previous updates released for the game.

One of the new additions is Special Operations: “Harbinger” and “Brimstone”. In addition to the special operations, there are some Classic Special Operations included with this patch. Door Kick is one of them that offers a 3-star rating based on the time that it take to complete the mission. There are various XP and MP rewards that are tied to the rating unlocked by the player after finishing a game.

For multiplayer, Gun Game and Realism Moshpit has been added. The latter should be playable in Domination, Hardpoint, Headquarters, and Kill Confirmed gameplay mode. Of course, there are many bug fixes included in this update as well.

New Features:

• Added an option to hide Friend requests and Party Invitations
• Added support for additional keyboard layouts on PS4

Stability:

• Several fixes to prevent crashes and improve stability

General Fixes:

• Fixed an issue where the boot up sequence volume would be too loud
• Various keybinding adjustments
• Players are now able to back out of the Gesture and Spray Wheel by clicking anywhere
• More fixes to prevent hitching/stuttering during cutscenes
• Fixed an issue where the Main Menu music would not play when users activated the Skip Introduction Movie option
• Fix for an error that could occur when attempting to manage a party
• Multiple fixes for different Aspect Ratios on various menus/screens in the game
• Fix for a bug where the XP Token shortcut key would also open Nvidia Highlights feature simultaneously (Now on “F” key)
• Fix for a bug where some achievements would appear as completed even though they were
