Mortal Kombat 11: New Hotfix Has Massively Nerfed The Requirements For Character Towers

NetherRealm Studios has released a quick hotfix for Mortal Kombat 11 today that has massively nerfed the requirements for all character towers, reducing them by as much as 80% after the new update.

Mortal Kombat 11 has received strong post-launch support by the developers. They acknowledged the issues faced by fans at the launch of the game and confirmed that a fix will be released soon. They have updated the PC, Nintendo Switch, and subsequently patched out PS4 and Xbox One version with multiple updates.

The new hotfix that seems to be a server-side patch has gone live a while ago on the Xbox One. This hotfix has massively nerfed the requirements for character towers reducing the amount of grind needed to progress in them.

According to users on reddit, the following are the new Mortal Kombat 11 character towers requirements after the hotfix was released.

  • Level 1 – 25 Uppercuts and Throws
  • Level 2 – 10 Fatalities and Brutalities (down from 50)
  • Level 3 – 25 Krushing Blows and 10K Blood Spilled
  • Level 4 – 25 Fatal Blows, 10 Flawless, 25 Wins, and 25 Krushing Blows
  • Level 5 – 75 Wins, 35 Fatal Blows, 25 Fatalities, and 25 Brutalities

While it is still a grind to get to Stage 5, the earlier stages have all been nerfed by NetherRealm Studios. This hotfix is confirmed to be live on the Xbox One. It might be available on the PS4 as well but for those who are playing on PC or Nintendo Switch, they will have to wait a while for it to go live.
