Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will receive a price increase in South Korea, with the console’s suggested retail price rising from ₩648,000 to ₩758,000.

The company announced the change in a press release published by Nintendo Korea, stating that the new price will take effect on September 1, 2026.

According to Nintendo, the decision follows a review of its future global business outlook in response to changing market conditions.

“As a result of reviewing future global business prospects in response to changes in various market environments, we have decided to change the suggested retail price of the Nintendo Switch 2 console in Korea,” the company said.

Nintendo also apologised for the increase, adding, “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers and stakeholders due to the price change. We ask for your kind understanding.”

The adjustment raises the console’s suggested retail price by ₩110,000 and aligns with the timing of previously announced Switch 2 price increases in North America and Europe, which are also scheduled to take effect on September 1.

Nintendo has previously attributed its global pricing changes to evolving market conditions as the company adjusts its long-term business outlook. South Korea now joins the growing list of regions where the Switch 2 will become more expensive beginning in September.
