by Greg Martin

Nintendo has launched its holiday promotions for 2026, offering My Nintendo members a chance to win a trip to Nintendo NEW YORK, expanding its online merchandise selection, and bringing the Mario balloon back for the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The Nintendo NEW YORK My Nintendo Holiday Magic Sweepstakes is open until November 2. The winner will receive a two-night trip to New York for themselves and up to three guests, including a travel certificate covering the base fare of a roundtrip JetBlue flight, excluding government taxes and fees. The prize also includes a personal tour of the Nintendo NEW YORK store and access to its holiday event activities, subject to timing and availability. Travel must take place between December 3 and December 7, 2026.

Nintendo is also expanding its online merchandise store, with hundreds of items previously exclusive to its retail locations in New York and San Francisco now available nationwide through Nintendo.com and the Nintendo Store app. The selection includes collectibles, apparel, and other merchandise based on franchises such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and Splatoon.

Nintendo’s physical stores will also receive seasonal updates. Starting in mid-November, Nintendo NEW YORK and Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO will feature holiday window displays and decorations, along with exclusive merchandise, including the Super Mario Winter Collection. Shoppers can also find holiday gift guides, festive shopping bags, and a limited-time gift with purchase, subject to a minimum spend and availability.

Special holiday events at Nintendo NEW YORK will begin in early December, including appearances by Mario and Luigi in costume. Nintendo has directed visitors to the Nintendo Store US accounts on Instagram and X for updates on events and other seasonal activities.

The Mario balloon will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, 2026, for the event’s 100th edition. The parade will air on NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo, starting at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.
