A new rumour suggests The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake could launch on November 11, although the speculation is based solely on recently listed amiibo release dates and has not been confirmed by Nintendo.
Nintendo UK has listed the Sword Kirby and Dragoon and Noir Dedede and Hydra amiibo with a release date of November 11. Historically, Nintendo has often released amiibo alongside its first-party games, leading some fans to speculate that the company could be planning a major release on the same day.
The theory carries some supporting examples. Mineru’s Construct amiibo received its release date before Nintendo announced Fortune’s Weave, while the Meta Knight and Shadow Star amiibo were dated ahead of the reveal of Pokémon Pokopia. Similarly, the Dedede and Tank Star amiibo were listed before Rhythm Heaven Groove’s release date was confirmed.
However, there are reasons to treat the claim with caution. Nintendo has not announced any first-party title for November, and a Wednesday release would be unusual, as the company has generally shifted to Thursday launches for its published games since the second quarter of 2024.
The speculation also follows Nintendo’s recent update to the official Ocarina of Time remake webpage, which added an ESRB rating of E10+ with the content descriptors “Animated Blood” and “Fantasy Violence.” While ratings updates are sometimes followed by marketing announcements, Nintendo has not confirmed that a release date reveal is imminent.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake was announced during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct for Nintendo Switch 2 and is currently scheduled to launch in 2026. Until Nintendo provides an official release date, the reported November 11 launch should be treated as speculation.
