Prince of Persia Remake Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
Ubisoft has confirmed that the upcoming Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake has been delayed for a second time to a later date.
In a statement that was shared by Ubisoft on the official social media account for the game, they confirmed that the game which was originally set to release back in January has been delayed again, but there was no release date given for it.
Here is what Ubisoft had to say regarding this new delay.
Hello Prince of Persia fans!
Since announcing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in September, we saw an outpouring of feedback from you on this beloved franchise. It is your passion and support that is driving our development teams to make the best game possible. With that said, we have made the decision to shift the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.
We understand the update might come as a surprise and we will continue to keep you posted on the progress of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. In the meantime, we want to thank you all for your ongoing support.
Ubisoft has cited the reason as giving the development team extra time to remake the game so it feels fresh while still remaining faithful to the original.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was the first game in the series that was released for the PS2, GameCube, and PC. It is being remade by Ubisoft Pune with help from other Ubisoft studios.
The game was heavily criticized for its visuals when it was revealed back in September. It was originally set to release this January for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
