PS Plus Extra and Premium are set to lose 11 games in January, 2025, including Capcom’s remake of its classic survival horror game, Resident Evil 2.
The Last Chance to Play section of the PlayStation Store has been updated to highlight the batch of games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog that will soon be removing themselves from the service. Sony will remove six games from the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog in January, 2025.
Games Leaving PS Plus Extra & Premium in January 2025
The updated list of games leaving PS Plus Extra during the remainder of January, 2025 can be seen below.

- Dragon Ball Fighterz (PS4/PS5)
- Life is strange: before the storm (PS4)
- Life is strange (PS4)
- Pure Hold’em World Poker Championship (PS4)
As always, this is the last chance for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers to show these games some love before they leave the service. Subscribers can always view the “Last Chance to play section” on the PlayStation Plus Collections page on PS5, or the Games Catalogue section in the PlayStation Plus menu on PS4, for games they may be interested in checking out before they leave the service.
Other games that recently made their exit from the PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog in December, 2024 include Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, Metal: Hellsinger, Moonscars, Megaman 11, Megaman Legacy Collection, Megaman Legacy Collection 2, Grime Definitive Edition, Tinykin, Prodeus, Soulstice, Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, Evil Genius 2, Judgment, Dead Island Definitive Edition, and Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition.
Among the prominent titles that are leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in January, 2025, is Resident Evil 2, a remake of the 1998 survival horror game. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in January, 2019 and for Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch in 2022.
