Resident Evil 3 Has Fewer Achievements Than Resident Evil 2 Remake
Resident Evil 3 Remake Steam store page is now live in addition to the minimum PC system requirements. Here are the total number of achievements on Steam.
Resident Evil 3 has just 32 achievements on Steam. This number was discovered on SteamDB which also hints at the existence of the game going back as far as one year ago, so it could be possible in development at the same time as Resident Evil 2. This number might seem normal at first but this achievement count is less than Resident Evil 2, which had 42 achievements. One of the reasons for this lower count could be due to a lack of replayable scenarios like it is the case with Leon and Claire.

While Capcom has confirmed that RE 3 will ship with Resident Evil: Resistance multiplayer mode, but apparently this multiplayer mode will have its own achievements and separate install from the main game judging from the early indications. This also likely contributes to a lower achievement count.
If we compare both games, it is also clear that RE 3 was shorter than RE 2. The game also launched almost one and a half years after the release of Resident Evil 2. This time, Capcom is, in fact, releasing it faster than the original release window.
