Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 might be making the jump to Xbox Game Pass soon as it has been teased by both Ubisoft and Microsoft.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 underperformed for Ubisoft. The developer had some lofty expectations from the sequel after debuting the first game in 2015 as a brand new original IP that was hailed as a proper next-generation game. The sequel had good initial reception but the userbase quickly dwindled after its launch.
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that offers more than 200 games for Xbox One and PC. One of the games that are being rumored for Xbox Game Pass is Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
The official social media account for the game shared a tweet talking about a collaboration with Microsoft. It was replied by both the official Xbox account and the official Xbox Game Pass account. The tweet makes it sound like Microsoft is teasing the sequel coming to Xbox Game Pass. It is also worth highlighting the fact that the first game will be taken down from Game Pass soon, so it is possible that the sequel will replace it.
Microsoft usually shares incremental updates for the Xbox Game Pass every month. They announced three new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass service earlier this week. Other announced games like the Yakuza series are also potentially releasing soon as the first Yakuza game was rated by PEGI recently, and could signal an official announcement in this regard.
