The Duskbloods network test has been postponed after server problems prevented FromSoftware from continuing the first scheduled session. The developer apologised to players who had been waiting to participate and confirmed that the day’s session has now been closed.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who were waiting for the first The Duskbloods network test due to game server issues. We regret to inform you that today’s session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce future schedules at a later date,” FromSoftware said in a statement.

The developer has not yet provided a new schedule for the affected session. Further details are expected once work on the game’s server infrastructure has progressed.

The network test is being used to assess the online infrastructure and gameplay balance ahead of the game’s release. The test was scheduled to run from August 21 through August 23, with invited Nintendo Switch Online members given access to eight player matches.

The Duskbloods is being developed exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. The multiplayer action game combines FromSoftware’s melee combat with PvPvE battles, placing players in the role of powerful vampiric warriors known as Bloodsworn.

Matches take place across large environments where players fight both AI-controlled enemies and rival players while attempting to accumulate Virtue and claim First Blood. The game also features high mobility traversal, including multi-jumps and stamina free sprinting, alongside companion entities called Kin that can assist during battles.

FromSoftware has yet to announce when the postponed network test session will be rescheduled.
