The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom To Feature Multiple Playable Characters

Nintendo’s latest entry in The Legend of Zelda series, The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, is set to feature multiple playable characters.

The upcoming title has been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). The board has given it a rating of E 10+, as it contains elements of fantasy violence, making it suitable for those over the age of 10. In addition, the accompanied rating summary for The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom has revealed that it will feature multiple playable characters.

As per the description in the rating summary, The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom is an adventure game in which players assume the role of Zelda, as she attempts to dispel rifts throughout Hyrule and rescue Link. During her journey, she will explore various environments while fighting stylized enemies (e.g., humans, creatures). The summary further states that players will also assume control of Link, who will use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies. Meanwhile, Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures (e.g., wind-up knights, pig soldiers, slime) during battle. It is also mentioned that some enemies can be defeated by being set on fire, while others dissolve into mist when defeated. Battle sequences are said to be somewhat frenetic, with several enemies attacking/fighting at once.

Previously, we had reported that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom had turned out the be the most popular reveal of the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, based on social media metrics. On YouTube, the game’s announcement trailer had amassed over 1.8 million views, and, on Twitter/X, it had received more than 5 million views hours after its reveal. The Legend of Zelda fans previously had the chance to play as Zelda in Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s hack-and-slash game, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. They have since been asking for a new entry in the series where Zelda is the protagonist, and it isn’t surprising to see that the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom during the recent Nintendo Direct has generated a lot of interest.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set for release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024.
