CD Projekt’s 2015 action role-playing game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is set to receive brand new DLC, according to a report.
During the latest episode of the Rock and Borys podcast, co-host Borys Nieśpielak claimed that multiple independent sources within the Polish games industry have confirmed to him that new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to be released. He believes now is “the best moment to announce this expansion,” adding that he would be genuinely surprised if CD Projekt didn’t reveal it soon. When co-host Remigiusz “Rock” Maciaszek asked whether an announcement was truly imminent, Nieśpielak reassured that his claim isn’t based on speculation.
Nieśpielak explained that he had verified the information via “several other sources, including one of the biggest,” and asked his audience to remain calm because the DLC is a “sure thing.” Rock responded that he trusted his co-host but still felt “a bit up in the air” without access to the same sources, saying he’s waiting for an official confirmation from CD Projekt.
The podcast co-host’s comments are noteworthy because he has long-standing connections with game developers across Poland, and his credibility within that circle lends extra weight to the claim. While he did not reveal any details about the nature of the DLC, such as whether it would be a small number of quests or a full-blown expansion, his confidence suggested that the project is well underway.
The discussion also led to speculation regarding where the new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would get announced. Rock talked bout CD Projekt always being present at major events. , Michał Nowakowski, Joint-CEO of CD Projekt, recently stated that the studio won’t be bringing any new content to The Game Awards this year. That said, he added that him and the development teams are, as always, excited to watch the show and celebrate the industry’s great night alongside the fans.
