Xbox Game Pass is adding several new games across the rest of August, including Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Vapor World: Over the Mind and Blood Dungeon. Multiple titles will also launch day one on the subscription service, while several games are scheduled to leave the library at the end of the month.
The latest additions begin with Egging On, which is available from August 18 on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC. The game has now joined Game Pass Premium, alongside its existing availability through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Vapor World: Over the Mind arrives on August 19 through Game Preview for Cloud, Console and PC. Available day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, the narrative-driven souls-like platformer combines platforming with deflection-based combat as players explore a world shaped by a boy’s fractured memories.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X and Relooted also join the service on August 19. BlazBlue Entropy Effect X will be available through Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, while Relooted arrives on the same platforms. Both titles are joining Game Pass Premium in addition to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Starsand Island follows on August 20 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The life simulation game focuses on a slower-paced island lifestyle, with activities including fishing, exploring the Moonlit Forest and spending time with animals such as capybaras, cats and dogs.
Aerial_Knight’s DropShot arrives on August 25 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC. The high-speed FPS racer puts players in control of Smoke Wallace, who competes against rivals while racing through its stylised world and battling dragons.
Blood Dungeon also launches on August 25 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one. The 2D platforming survival game challenges players to navigate dangerous dungeons, evade monsters, collect blood and powerups, and use their accumulated bones to purchase upgrades from the Bone Shop.
One of the biggest additions arrives on August 27, when Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy launches day one on Xbox Game Pass. The game will be available through Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy follows Sophia as she travels to Minotaur’s Island, where she must overcome deadly trials, solve puzzles and survive while being pursued by an army. The journey eventually leads her towards the creature hidden behind the island’s long-standing myth.
Young Suns launches in full on August 31 for Cloud, Console and PC. Set after a successful revolution on Jupiter, the narrative life simulation game lets players explore planetoids, ruins and converted stations either alone or with up to 3 friends while helping the planet’s inhabitants rebuild.
Shelldiver rounds out the new August additions on September 1 for Cloud, Console and PC. The incremental game follows a turtle who catches jellyfish and sells them from a shop, with players able to upgrade equipment and explore different ocean environments.
Microsoft is also offering additional in-game benefits to Game Pass subscribers. Once Human players will receive console-exclusive content and a monthly Meta Pass from August 25, while World of Tanks Modern Armor subscribers can claim an XP Stock Bundle from September 1 containing a Björn Larsen 3D Commander and 4 Commander XP Boosters.
Meanwhile, several games will leave the Game Pass library on August 31. These include Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, One Lonely Outpost and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt – Remastered Edition.
NBA 2K26 will then leave Game Pass on September 6, giving subscribers additional time to play it before it is removed from the service.
