Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is from legendary game developer Koji Igarashi. He left Konami and Castlevania franchise behind to launch his own Kickstarter which has resulted in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Bloodstained managed to create a new record for raising money as a Kickstarter. It was originally planned for both the PS Vita and Nintendo Wii U but plans for these platforms were dropped once they were made obsolete by their platform holders. As a result, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently coming to the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The new trailer for Bloodstained makes it a point to show that they have listened to the feedback of fans who complained about the lackluster art style and underwhelming visuals, all of which were seen in the many playable builds and public demos that have been released for the game so far. Along with the visuals, there might be changes made to the gameplay based on the feedback of fans.

The trailer goes through a comparison of the new visuals and compares it to the old one, showing the upgrades that were made have led to a better-looking game. Koji Igarashi is known for his work on the Castlevania series and Bloodstained is basically a spiritual successor to Castlevania in all but name.
The Kickstarter for the game launched in 2015 and managed to get backing of more than $5.5 million despite the original goal of the Kickstarter being set at just $500K. This helped improve the scope of the project and secure more external funding partners for it.
