Days Gone will get a major update in the coming day as revealed in an official video shared ahead of the reveal by PlayStation Germany. This update will also supposedly add the new Survival Difficulty which was confirmed for June.

Days Gone Survival Difficulty was already confirmed for June but Sony Bend Studio is taking it one step further and including some extra content for the game. Some of it can be seen in the trailer for the new update that is in German for now.

Update: The original video has been taken down so here is a mirror.

Days Gone will get a new update later in June adding an immersive hud, new timed challenges for horde, bike and combat, ability to swap between the various character skins, and new customization options.

Sony Bend Studio hasn’t shared any details on this update and hasn’t confirmed if this will be the upcoming Days Gone update 1.10, but the trailer does reveal many new additions that are currently not a part of the game itself. Bike Challenges are one example which should potentially lead to some bike racing missions.

Days Gone has continued to receive new updates but most of it is for fixing the various bugs that have continued to affect the game since it launched at the end of April. It has received a total of eight updates so far with a total download size of more than 20 GB.

Sony Bend Studio confirmed in a pre-launch interview that Days Gone will get some post-launch DLC, but details around it haven’t been shared yet. The game was a success for Sony and has done well so far for them. It is available now exclusively for the PS4. This could be the first post-launch DLC that is being released free as part of a new content update.
