Left 4 Dead fans were left in doubt over the appearance of a mysterious teaser for Left 4 Dead 3 that seemed to tease a new game in the series. The truth behind this teaser has finally been revealed and it is not good news at all.
Left 4 Dead was once the pinnacle of online co-op games back when Valve was still making games. This has changed in recent times after the focus of the developer shifted from making games to Steam, but this hasn’t stopped the fans from hoping to see new entries in their popular franchises. This includes Portal, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, and Half-Life.

In a new teaser that was posted on YouTube out of all places, there was a video showing various environment assets in what appeared to be a post-apocalyptic world that was infested with zombies. It appeared to be a high-quality trailer even if it would turn out to be a fake.
The trailer had a cryptic ending that seemed to resemble the logo for Left 4 Dead. It featured a zombie hand that started to twitch near the end hinting at a possible Left 4 Dead 3.

This has now turned out to be a fake teaser for Left 4 Dead 3 as Valve has confirmed to PCGamer. While this might be bad news for fans of the series, we can only hope that Valve gets back to making games again since the anticipation among fans is quite high.
