The new PS5 just came out recently, and people all over the world are having a blast with their new devices. But as is to be expected at this point in the lifecycle of any new console, there are some issues that are plaguing the first batch of hardware.
There is a problem going around on some PS5 consoles, where users are unable to download games to their hardware that they own digitally. When they attempt to install these games from the PlayStation Store, they see the error code “cannot download ce-107939-9″.
As of right now, this error has been reported for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Dying Light among some others. This doesn’t seem to be limited to just recent games, since both PlayStation 4 and 5 titles are affected.
There’s no official fix available for this issue right now, but there is a way that users can bypass the error altogether.
