Battlefield 2042 Is Being Delayed But Beta Will Still Happen – Report

by Salal Awan

Battlefield 2042 hasn’t been seen in a while and there is no official beta announcement either, which has led some fans to believe it might be delayed.

The news of the delay has led to a lot of speculation among fans. This was first hinted at by GamesBeat editor Jeff Grubb. He suggested some games will be delayed beginning with the Dying Light 2 announcement. He mentioned Battlefield 2042 in a Discord channel as one of the games that will be delayed.

Tom Henderson, who has been a reliable leaker when it comes to news for the Battlefield and Call of Duty has now added that he is hearing that the game might be delayed by a few weeks. He suggests that the Beta is still on track to release on September 22, and won’t face any delay. If the game is indeed delayed, it won’t be to 2022 but late November 2021.

EA DICE had promised an open beta for Battlefield 2042. The game was originally set to launch in October but this remains uncertain for now. Meanwhile, Sledgehammer Games is conducting an open beta test for Call of Duty Vanguard on September 16, which is due out later in November.

We have to wait for an official announcement from EA regarding a potential delay, and the launch of the open beta for Battlefield 2042, but things don’t look that great so far.
