Capcom has announced that it will discontinue sales of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and a number of downloadable content items later this month as preparations continue for the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
In a statement shared through the official Dragon’s Dogma social media account, the company said the affected products will no longer be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam beginning June 25, 2026, at 12:00 AM UTC. Capcom stated that the decision is being made “due to the development of additional content and various adjustments for the upcoming title update.”
The products being removed from sale include the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition, A Boon for Adventurers – New Journey Pack, Harpysnare Smoke Beacons, Heartfelt Pendant, Ambivalent Rift Incense, Makeshift Gaol Key, Art of Metamorphosis, Portcrystal, Wakestone, and the 500, 1500, and 2500 Rift Crystals packs.
Capcom clarified that players who already own any of the delisted content will continue to have access to it after sales end. The company also confirmed that the standard edition of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will remain available, alongside the Explorer’s Camping Kit and the Dragon’s Dogma Music & Sound Collection.
At the same time, Capcom revealed that the digital version of the base game will receive a permanent price reduction across PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam, with platform-specific pricing available through each storefront.
The announcement comes ahead of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, which was referenced by Capcom as the next major release for the franchise. The publisher concluded its message by thanking players for their support and expressing hope that fans will bring the same enthusiasm to the upcoming release as they did to Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched on March 22, 2024, for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed and published by Capcom, the action RPG follows the Arisen on a quest to reclaim their stolen heart, uncover political intrigue, and confront the dragon tied to their fate.
