by Greg Martin

Square Enix has announced an expansion for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy that will see the game launch in seven additional regions, alongside the introduction of two new playable characters. The update is scheduled to roll out following maintenance on April 28 UTC.

The game will become available in Finland, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, marking a broader global release after continued player feedback requesting wider access. The development team indicated that further regional expansions may be considered in the future.

Alongside the expanded availability, the roster is being updated with the addition of Rikku from Final Fantasy X and Clive from Final Fantasy XVI. With these inclusions, the game now features representation from all 16 mainline entries in the Final Fantasy series. Each character brings a distinct set of abilities and combat styles, contributing to a more varied battle system.

To mark the arrival of the new fighters, a series of in-game events and campaigns will be introduced. These include opportunities for players to obtain rewards through special missions and login bonuses, as well as up to 99 free ability draws.

The update reflects ongoing support for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, with the development team continuing to respond to community feedback while expanding both its reach and playable content.
