Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Reveals Future Update Roadmap

by Greg Martin

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has revealed its future update roadmap, outlining new game modes and expanded challenges planned through 2027. The upcoming additions include a solo Tower of Power mode this winter, followed by online co-op battles, upgraded missions and a survival mode next spring.

The Tower of Power (Solo) mode will challenge players to climb increasingly difficult floors filled with stronger enemies. Scheduled for winter 2026, the free update will also introduce customization rewards that make characters’ charging Ki auras more visually striking.

Around spring 2027, players will be able to tackle the Tower of Power in a team-up mode supporting up to five players online, with each participant controlling one character. The same update will introduce Mission 100 SP and Survival Mode SP, upgraded versions of existing modes featuring tougher enemies with enhanced stats.

Both upgraded modes will allow players to use characters trained through the Limit Breaker Journey mode included in the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC. However, the roadmap confirms that the free update content will remain accessible even to players who do not own the DLC.

The roadmap also outlines further additions for after summer 2027. These include a cross-play beta test for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, alongside a paid DLC featuring a new playable character. The announcement did not identify the character or provide a specific release date for these additions.

Before the new modes arrive, players can also take part in the Legendary Warrior Face-off events. The roadmap lists Gogeta (Super) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, while Frieza (Super) is planned for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC is also coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date, although a release window has not been announced.
