SNK has marked the first anniversary of Fatal Fury City of the Wolves with a wave of new content and announcements, headlined by the arrival of Wolfgang Krauser as downloadable content. The update also includes a new anime short and pricing changes across multiple editions of the game.
Krauser joins the roster as a returning antagonist, portrayed once again as a dominant and ruthless force within the series’ narrative. The character’s reintroduction is accompanied by both English and Japanese voice performances, with Patrick Seitz and Yutaka Aoyama lending their voices respectively. His storyline centers on a renewed quest for power, positioning him against familiar fighters in South Town.
Alongside the DLC release, SNK has collaborated with renowned anime director Masami Obari on a new animated short. The video focuses on Krauser’s resurgence and the ensuing conflict with characters such as Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi. Obari, known for his distinctive visual style and prior work on Fatal Fury adaptations, brings a dynamic presentation to the project, continuing his long association with the franchise.
The anniversary update also introduces a new Standard Edition of Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, priced at $19.99. This version includes the base game and all core modes, excluding additional downloadable content. For players looking to expand their roster, Season Pass 1 is now available separately for $14.99, adding characters such as Andy Bogard, Ken, Chun Li, Joe Higashi, and Mr. Big.
Further content is on the horizon, with the game’s soundtrack set to arrive on streaming platforms in June 2026. The release will feature 97 tracks, including the main theme.
To coincide with the anniversary, SNK has also launched a limited time promotion on the Legend Edition. This version, which includes the base game along with Season Pass 1 and Season Pass 2, is currently discounted by 40 percent to $29.99 from its regular $49.99 price. Season Pass 2 will introduce six additional characters over time, including Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Krauser, and a crossover appearance from Kenshiro, with one more character yet to be revealed.
The anniversary celebration reflects SNK’s continued support for City of the Wolves, combining new content, expanded accessibility through lower pricing, and cross-media additions to keep the fighting game evolving beyond its first year.
