A new Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 leak has been circulating widely online, drawing attention for its detailed claims about the game’s reveal and features. The information first appeared on ResetEra, where a user posted on behalf of an alleged source connected to Square Enix marketing and Summer Game Fest preparations. However, the leak has since been challenged by another insider, raising doubts about its credibility.
The original post outlines a supposed reveal planned for Summer Game Fest on June 5, including a trailer, a developer presentation, and a follow-up event hosted by Square Enix. According to the claims, the game would be titled Final Fantasy 7 Return and target an early 2027 release window. Additional details include expanded world size, increased narrative cinematics, and the introduction of a new optional combat system called Active Turn Action. The leak also suggests the inclusion of three additional playable party members and a trilogy bundle release featuring previous entries.
Despite the level of detail, not everyone is convinced. ResetEra user LaytonWright, described as a credible insider, dismissed the information outright, stating, “Just catching up as having been away. Leak is soooo off.” The comment has led some to question the accuracy of the original claims, especially given the lack of corroboration from other sources.
Square Enix has yet to officially reveal the title of the final installment in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. The project is currently in development, with the company previously confirming that the game is progressing toward completion. While no release date has been announced, it is expected to conclude the story of Cloud Strife and his companions, covering the remaining events of the original game.
For now, the viral leak remains unverified, with conflicting statements leaving its authenticity uncertain.
