Fortnite Bear Hug Emote Was Disabled Because It Was Deemed NSFW

Epic Games has disabled and removed access to the Fortnite Bear Hug emote. Apparently, it was deemed NSFW since it led to an awkward pose.

Players were able to get the Bear Hug emote in Fortnite by purchasing it for 200 VBucks. This is no longer possible after Epic Games has disabled the emote.

This happened once players begin to exploit the awkward hugging position that was offered along with the emote. It basically opened the door for players to engage in NSFW positions, which is not suitable for a game where the majority of the userbase is composed of kids.

Epic Games have disabled the Emote for an undisclosed amount of time. They have stated that they want to “fix” it before bringing it back to the store. If you have already purchased it, you can get a tokenless refund next week.

This concert was attended by thousands of people all over the world and cemented Fortnite’s role as a virtual playground for all players.
