Gotham Knights Nightwing and Red Hood Gameplay Demo Released
A brand new gameplay demo for Gotham Knights featuring Nightwing and Red Hood has just been made available for eager fans of the upcoming game. The game is all set to hit store shelves this October.
Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood star in Gotham Knights, an online co-op action-adventure game. It will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series, and is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal. The gameplay demo can be seen as follows.
The demo shows Nightwing dishing out some vigilante justice to bad people. Each crime in Gotham Knights plays out like a mini-game mode, with rules and optional objectives. Nightwing’s fighting style is acrobatic. The demo shows him ping-pong across enemies, as he takes them out one by one. It’s possible to play the game solo, but players are encouraged to play in coop.
Red Hood’s gameplay is also shown off in the demo. He gained new abilities after being resurrected by an assassin cult. He uses mystical leap to move across the rooftops, spring boarded by his soul energy. Red Hood’s ranged attacks can do a lot of damage, meaning they can also get quite loud, alerting nearby enemies.
The next sequence shows the heroes’ home base, the Belfry. This section takes place fairly early in the game, as the players are just discovering the Court of Owls. The Bat Computer provides access to the map of the city, and let’s you pursue challenges and advance the story. In this section during the demo, Nightwing is seen tracking the Old Powers Club. The workbench is where you can upgrade your equipment. Players can find blueprints and crafting materials by taking on missions and fighting crime. There’s room for a decent amount of customization, as seen in the demo, allowing players to add their own flavor to each of the Gotham Knights.
A stealth section was also shown during the demo, in which Nightwing is seem sneaking up to enemies and quietly taking them down. Every hero has unique takedowns and finishing moves. There’s also the option to perform Ambush strikes instead. The catch is that they’re faster to perform, but, at the same time, they make more noise. AR vision helps the heroes find clues to solving puzzles and investigate mysteries.
On October 25, 2022, Gotham Knights will be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game revolves around Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, who have been tasked with restoring justice to Gotham City after Batman’s death. While investigating Batman’s mysterious disappearance, the heroes face up against the Court of Owls, a secret society as old as Gotham itself, and its legion of brainwashed assassins known as Talons.
