Naughty Dog has confirmed that the cinematic shoot for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has wrapped, marking another milestone in development of the studio’s upcoming PlayStation 5 action-adventure. The developer shared the update alongside a photograph of lead actor Tati Gabrielle, who plays bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun.
“See you, space cowboy…” That is a wrap on the very ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! This cast killed it! Cannot wait to show you their incredible work when the time is right!
Intergalactic Remains Targeted For 2027
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2024. The game is being developed as a single-player action-adventure set on the distant planet of Sempiria, following Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter.
The project is currently targeting an internal release window around 2027 and is planned as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Naughty Dog has yet to provide a specific release date.
The completion of the cinematic shoot comes shortly before Sony’s upcoming State of Play presentations. Sony has confirmed that a State of Play will take place on September 3, followed immediately by a separate State of Play Japan presentation featuring updates from PlayStation Studios and third-party developers.
Sony has not confirmed that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will appear during either presentation. Naughty Dog’s latest update therefore provides a development milestone rather than confirmation of an imminent gameplay reveal.
