Luigi’s Mansion 3 will launch later in October. While Nintendo didn’t confirm any DLC for it, the official website has listed paid DLC.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the next game featuring the Ghostbusting adventures of Luigi. This series was first introduced for the Nintendo Gamecube and then later re-emerged again for the Nintendo 3DS. The third game is coming to the Nintendo Switch and will launch on October 31, 2019.
Nintendo has shared a lot of details on Luigi’s Mansion 3 during E3 2019 and now some new details have emerged through the official website for the game.
This is the first game to offer a proper co-op mode that will let two players go through the main campaign. It is not just limited to this gameplay mode but there is more multiplayer content. Nintendo revealed the Scream Park and ScareScrapper mode for the game recently and now we have confirmed that this is not the only new content.
The official website has listed that paid DLC will be added to the ScreamPark and ScareScrapper mode for Luigi’s Mansion 3. “Paid DLC will come to the game in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes, ” reads the feature list on the official website.
The exact details around this DLC aren’t confirmed yet but the game doesn’t have a season pass like Fire Emblem Three Houses. The wording is ambiguous enough that this could be either new maps or characters or simply microtransactions adding skins and more.
