Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Comparison Highlights Eva’s Significant Glow-Up

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, and the recent trailers have generated considerable excitement among fans.

During the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Konami unveiled new footage for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The trailer essentially revisited the opening prologue of the game, providing fans with a closer look at how major characters and cutscenes have transitioned in the remake. Overall, the visuals appear to be a faithful replica of the original, which could be seen as either a positive or negative aspect, depending on personal preference.

Given that the original game is one of the most beloved classics in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, every footage released by Konami faces intense scrutiny from dedicated fans. However, the new trailer demonstrates that Konami is committed to preserving the character models’ designs in line with their original forms. A comparison video is available for those interested in visual differences.

Among the characters, Eva appears to have received the most notable redesign. Konami has also addressed some issues related to character models, particularly for The Boss. The new trailer offers another glimpse of her, showcasing a resemblance to her original design. If you want to see the original trailer, it can be found in 4K from here.

As of now, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater does not have a confirmed release date, but it is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. The game is being developed by Konami in collaboration with Virtuous. While Hideo Kojima is no longer with Konami, some former staff members from the original series are involved in the remake. Additionally, Konami is working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, which is slated for release later this October.
