New Tomb Raider Merchandise Provides Closer Look At Lara Croft Character Design

The arrival of new Tomb Raider merchandise has offered a closer look at the updated Lara Croft character design.

Dark Horse Direct has launched the store page for the second installment in its Tomb Raider line of collectibles with the new Lara Croft PVC Statue. It is now available for pre-order for the price of 89.99 US Dollars. As per the description on the store page, the statue is set amidst the ruins of an ancient jungle, and it captures Lara with fierce determination and character.

The Tomb Raider Lara Croft PVC Statue stands at 9.2 inches tall, with a width of 9.4 inches and depth of 6.3 inches. It also features interchangeable accessories, as owners will be able to showcase Lara with her iconic second pistol or her rugged climbing axe. The statue is based on a brand new character design for Lara Croft. It was previously stated by Crystal Dynamics that this “unified vision” for Croft’s appearance doesn’t match the new game model, though it remains to be seen whether that is still the case.

Previously, Twitter/X user thevscooper, who is known for sharing leaks from Hollywood, had claimed that the next Tomb Raider will feature an “unrestricted” open world and will take place in India. The leaker claimed that the next Tomb Raider will offer vast environments, the use of a motorcycle at any point, a parachute, and common traversal methods that Lara Croft is known to use, likely referring to gadgets like the grappling hook she used in prior games. They added that players will have “unrestricted” access to the open world, and will need to navigate across its many challenges. Furthermore, the insider claimed that the story in the next Tomb Raider game will involve a natural disaster that strikes northern India, revealing ancient emperor Ashoka’s ruins and artifacts.
