The nest Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled to happen on coming Tuesday, June 9, 2026, according to a new report.
During the latest episode of Last of the Nintendogs podcast on Jeff Grubb’s Game Mess YouTube channel, co-host and industry insider Jeff Grubb said he has been hearing that the next Nintendo Direct is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026. While discussing the console maker’s summer plans, he explained that reports pointing toward a June presentation have become increasingly consistent. “I’ve heard Tuesday, next Tuesday,” he said.
The insider mentioned that he would specifically “say Tuesday morning,” while noting that scheduling information can sometimes become confused due to time zone differences. “There is a possibility it could happen on Wednesday,” he cautioned, “but I’ll say the date I keep hearing is next Tuesday and Tuesday morning specifically.”
According to Grubb, the rumored timing has been coming up more frequently in recent days. He also pointed out that the schedule is in line with previous comments from fellow insider Nate the Hate, who had claimed in March,2026, that Nintendo was planning a Direct presentation for June. Based on Nintendo’s upcoming release schedule, Grubb and co-host Mike Minotti speculated that the presentation would likely be a general Nintendo Direct rather than a smaller themed showcase. Grubb argued that Nintendo has enough announced and rumored projects to fill a major presentation, including upcoming titles, third-party partnerships, and long-rumored projects.
The podcast hosts discussed ongoing rumors regarding a new remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with Grubb suggesting that it appears increasingly likely to be one of Nintendo’s major holiday releases. They also mentioned other potential announcements, including a new Luigi’s Mansion installment or even a future Super Smash Bros. project.
Recently, in a special Mario 40th Anniversary issue of Casa BRUTUS, Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto said that he’s excited about the next mainline Mario title following the success of Super Mario Odyssey.
