The often rumored remake of Atlus’ role-playing game, Persona 3, is reportedly titled “Reloaded”, and is set for release in Fall 2023.
According to Twitter user MbKKssTBhz5 and Reset Era member Im A Hero Too, the rumored remake of the third entry in the Persona series is titled Persona 3 Reloaded, and that the game will be announced at the upcoming Xbox Showcase this Sunday on June, 11, 2023. It was also mentioned that Persona 3 Reloaded is set for release sometime during Fall 2023.
Previously, alleged gameplay footage for from the Persona 3 remake had been leaked ahead of the official reveal. The footage showed the game’s turn-based combat in action. It was allegedly taken from an internal meeting held at Sega Japan in 2021. The Japanese character at the top-right of the video stated “footage in development”.
The character in focus in the leaked video was none other than Yukari Takeba, a playable character from the original Persona 3. She is a student at Gekkoukan High School as well as a member of the Specialized Execution Squad. It’s worth highlighting that the Yukari character model seen in the above video hasn’t been lifted from some online source, and the visual effects look rather elaborate for this to not be the real deal. That said, it’s still a rumor until confirmed by Atlus.
In other news regarding the Persona series, Reset Era member Im A Hero Too had stated earlier that the next couple years would be “heavy” on Persona titles, so much that he’s “sick” of hearing about the series. Regarding Persona 6, he said that it is a bigger project in comparison to Persona 5, and that it’s also very “unique”. Therefore, according to the Reset Era member, Atlus is likely taking its time with its development and waiting until it is ready to be shown to the public. He added that the studio working on Persona 6 not a huge development team. He expected the game to be released sometime in the year 2025.
