Best Buy might have just leaked Persona 5’s Joker render and character model in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Persona 5’s Joker will be one of the first DLC fighters to arrive in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game director, Masahiro Sakurai, is a big fan of the Persona series and collaborated with Atlus to get Joker, who is the main protagonist of Persona 5, into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Joker was first revealed to the world in a trailer at The Game Awards 2018. Ever since then, he has been discovered in the game files through datamining, and references to a possible female character in the upcoming Persona 5 The Royal have been found as well.
Best Buy had created a store ad for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter Pass add-on, which they are selling separately from the game. The image circulating online, reportedly taken from Best Buy, shows Persona 5’s Joker render in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is being marketed as an upcoming character in the game.
Rumors right now point towards an April reveal and launch for the first DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There are also some new Persona 5 projects coming soon.
