Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders are now live on PlayStation 5, with S-Game also confirming a dedicated State of Play presentation for August 17. The upcoming broadcast will feature nearly 20 minutes of new gameplay, giving players a deeper look at the game’s combat, progression systems and dark wuxia-inspired world.
The State of Play will begin on August 17 at 7:00 pm PT / 10:00 pm ET, which is August 18 at 3:00 am BST / 10:00 am Beijing Time / 11:00 am JST. They also released an extended pre-order trailer that offers a new look at the game’s action.
S-Game says the upcoming presentation will explore Phantom Blade Zero’s combat systems in greater detail, including the ways players can develop different builds. The showcase will also introduce previously unseen characters who will play important roles in Soul’s story.
The new trailer includes several action sequences, including battles against enemies while travelling on a speeding wagon and a confrontation with The Hunt, one of Soul’s former comrades. These scenes represent only part of Soul’s journey, according to S-Game.
Donnie Yen also appears at the end of the pre-order trailer. The martial artist and filmmaker has been serving as a creative consultant on Phantom Blade Zero since 2023, contributing his expertise to the game’s combat design. He also provides facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan, Soul’s father.
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, and is available to pre-order now on PS5. Players who pre-order will receive early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit, although both items can also be acquired through normal in-game progression.
The game will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, priced at $59.99 and $69.99 respectively.
