In this guide, we will tell you how to get mystery gifts. The first mystery gift in Sword and Shield is a Gigantamax Meowth. You will get this mystery gift at the start of the game.
How to Get Mystery Gifts In Pokemon Sword and Shield
In order to get a Mystery Gifts, open the menu by pressing the X button. Select the ” Mystery Gift ” option from the menu then select “Get a Mystery Gift”. Select through the Internet on the next screen.

After doing all this, you can see the available Mystery gifts load on the screen. Redeem your Mystery Gift from this menu. You can only redeem a Mystery Gift one time. If you already redeemed the Mystery Gift once you can not redeem it again.
How to Get Gigantamax Meowth
The first Mystery Gift you get in Pokemon Sword and Shield is Gigantamax Meowth. You can redeem it at the start of the game. If you want to get Gigantamax Meowth as a Mystery Gift you must redeem it before January 15, 2020. The Meowth looks normal but it has the power of Gigantamax in Max Raids and Gym Battles.
