Sonic Frontiers is a platformer developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. Players take on the role of Sonic as he explores the Starfall Islands in search of the Chaos Emeralds after being separated from his friends due to a wormhole accident. The game blends classic Sonic the Hedgehog elements—such as platforming, collecting rings, and grind rails—with the series’ first open-world design. In this open environment, players can complete challenges, battle robotic enemies, and enter “Cyber Space” stages inspired by levels from previous Sonic games.
