Resident Evil Requiem DLC Leak Dismissed by Dusk Golem, Ada Still Expected in Future Content

A recent rumor surrounding Resident Evil Requiem DLC has been publicly dismissed by well-known leaker Dusk Golem, who pushed back against claims of an imminent story expansion featuring Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy. The rumor had gained traction after circulating on social media and being picked up by multiple sources.

Responding directly on Twitter, Dusk Golem wrote, “Bullshit.” The comment came in reply to a claim about a supposed DLC titled Extraction, which was said to be releasing in May and featuring both Ada and Leon. When pressed further, the leaker clarified their stance, stating, “I’ve said before I believe Ada will be involved with RE9’s DLC. But this specific rumor, that in May a DLC called “Extraction” with Leon & Ada in it, is bullshit. That’s not what’s releasing.”

The original rumor was shared by TrueGaming, citing information from dataminer Marcox. According to that report, hidden files discovered in the PC version of the game pointed to a major story expansion titled Extraction, with Ada Wong playing a central role alongside Leon Kennedy. The claim suggested the content would arrive as early as May.

Earlier official details from Capcom provide a more grounded look at the game’s post-launch plans. Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa confirmed that a DLC minigame is in development and nearing completion. This mode is described as a single-player experience focused on combat and is unlocked after finishing the main story. Kumazawa indicated that it is intended for players seeking a more action-driven challenge, while Nakanishi described it as an experience that will make players go “Whoa!!”

Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27, 2026, as the ninth main entry in the series. The game follows FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy as they investigate a string of mysterious deaths tied to the aftermath of the Raccoon City incident. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, the title continues the series’ blend of survival horror elements, combining exploration, puzzle solving, and combat across both first-person and third-person perspectives.
